Terms of Service

Picklett provides tools that merchants use to configure their own product recommendations. These terms explain what we do, what you are responsible for, and how plans and cancellation work.

Last updated: 13 September 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Picklett, operated by [Administrator to configure: registered legal entity name]. By creating an account or using Picklett you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Subscription & Billing Terms and — where it applies to you — the Data Processing Addendum form part of this agreement.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use Picklett on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business to these terms.

3. Account registration and security

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You may sign in with an email address and password or with Google.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at contact@picklett.com promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. What Picklett is

Picklett is a tool. You add your products, write your questions and answer options, configure your own recommendation rules, choose how the finder looks, and publish or embed it on your website. Picklett then shows shoppers the products your configuration selects and reports on how the finder was used.

Product finders

A finder is yours to configure and publish. Publishing makes that finder, its questions, its design and the products it can recommend readable by anyone with the link, which is what allows it to work on your website. Drafts remain private to your account.

Recommendation rules

Recommendations are produced deterministically from the rules you set — the tags, product picks, exclusions, budget settings and availability requirements you configure. Picklett does not decide what is a good product for your shoppers; your configuration does.

No performance guarantee

Picklett does not guarantee that using it will increase conversions, revenue, sales or engagement, that recommendations will be perfectly accurate or suitable for any particular shopper, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

5. Merchant responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your own business and for how you use Picklett, including:

  • Your products, prices, currencies, availability, descriptions and any claims you make about them.
  • The questions, answer options, wording and recommendation configuration you create.
  • Your website, the pages you embed a finder on, and the shopper experience around it.
  • Your customers, your customer communications and your business practices.
  • Your own privacy notice, cookie notice, terms and any consent you are required to obtain from shoppers.
  • Your compliance with the laws that apply to you, including consumer protection, advertising, product safety and privacy laws.

Merchant content

You must have the rights to everything you upload, including product images, logos and text, and it must not infringe anyone else's rights or break the Acceptable Use Policy.

Product information accuracy

Picklett displays the product information you provide. We do not verify prices, stock, descriptions or claims, and we are not responsible for errors in them.

Third-party products and websites

Finders link out to product pages you specify. Those destinations, and any transaction that follows, are between you and your shopper. Picklett is not a party to sales made through your store.

Embedded finders

You are responsible for where and how you embed a finder, and for telling your visitors what is collected when they use it, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Plans, trials and billing

Picklett offers a Free plan and paid Growth and Pro plans. Every plan includes unlimited product finders; plans differ in the number of completed recommendations included each month and in the features available.

A completed recommendation is counted when a shopper finishes one of your finders and reaches their personalised results. Simply opening or starting a finder does not count. Allowances are shared across every finder in your account and reset at the start of each monthly billing period.

Free is $0 and needs no card. Growth ($39/month) and Pro ($79/month) include a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers. A payment method is required to start a paid-plan trial; when the trial ends the subscription renews automatically each month at the plan price unless you cancel before the trial ends. If you cancel, the account moves to the Free plan at the end of the trial or paid period; nothing you built is deleted.

Except where required by applicable law, all subscription payments are non-refundable. Picklett does not provide refunds or credits for partially used billing periods, unused subscription time, accidental purchases, failure to use the service, or cancellation after a subscription payment has been processed.

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and, unless applicable law requires otherwise, you keep paid access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Full details, including failed payments, upgrades, downgrades, taxes and price changes, are in the Subscription & Billing Terms, which form part of this agreement.

Usage limits

When your account reaches its monthly allowance, finders show shoppers a neutral message rather than new recommendations, and no billing information is shown to shoppers. You may upgrade to raise your allowance, or wait for the next monthly reset.

Taxes

Prices are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any applicable sales tax, VAT, GST or similar amounts, which may be added to your charge.

7. Intellectual property

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights in the content you put into Picklett. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt and display that content only as needed to operate and support the service for you — including serving your published finders to shoppers.

Our rights

Picklett, including the software, design, branding and documentation, remains our property. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the service except as permitted by law.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions, we may use them to improve Picklett without any obligation or payment to you. Feedback is given voluntarily and is not confidential.

8. Acceptable use, suspension and termination

Your use of Picklett must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits, among other things, illegal activity, fraud, phishing, malware, spam, security attacks, unauthorised access, infringement, deceptive business practices, unauthorised collection of personal information, attempts to bypass usage limits, and intentionally deceptive product recommendations.

Suspension

We may suspend or limit an account where we reasonably believe it materially violates these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, poses a security or legal risk, or where a payment is overdue. Where practical and lawful, we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.

Termination

You may stop using Picklett at any time and may delete your account from the Account page. We may terminate this agreement for material breach that is not remedied, or where required by law. Terminating your account is not a refund event; see the Subscription & Billing Terms.

Cancelling a paid subscription does not delete your account or your content. Deletion happens only when you ask for it.

9. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep Picklett available and reliable, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, updates, third-party infrastructure problems and events outside our control can cause downtime.

We may add, change or remove features as the product develops. We will not make a change that materially reduces the core functionality of a plan you are paying for without giving you notice.

10. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Picklett is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of recommendations, or any commercial result.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Picklett is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost sales, lost goodwill, or lost or corrupted data, however caused.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this agreement is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Picklett harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from your content, your products, your website, your recommendation configuration, your business practices, your breach of this agreement, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

13. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of [Administrator to configure: governing jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

Before starting formal proceedings, please email contact@picklett.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly. Most issues can be settled that way.

14. Changes to these terms and contact

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date above always shows the current version, and we will give notice of material changes through the service or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Picklett after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@picklett.com.
